What Is The Medication That Should Be Taken For Anxiety, Panic Attack And Sleeplessness?
I was prescribed Zoloft for Anxiety and Panic attacks ive been taking it for about 5days my doctor also gave me Ativan to take only if needed and and some sleep medicine My anxiety is at night and sometime will wake me if I just take the sleep med and Zoloft I still have the anxiety is this common do I need to regularly take both Zoloft and a anxiety med or maybe just need a higher dose of Zoloft ?

Well it is too early too expect improvement in your underlying anxiety, panic attacks since only 5 days have passed on these medications. Zoloft is a very effective ssri class anti depressant drug for countering anxiety and panic attacks but it needs at least 2-3 weeks to settle within the system and to start producing desired action against anxiety and panic attack. Also Ativan for initial 1 week can be taken twice a day at dose of 0.25 mg each so as to bring in faster control over anxiety and panic attacks plus it shall buy some time for Zoloft for it to get going in terms of it's action against the underlying symptoms an then Ativan can be restricted to as and when needed usage.
