Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can you help me with my blood pressure? What can I take over the counter for my blood pressure? Also with my cholesterol it s to high it s 257. The doctor has prescribed different medications but so far they seem to cause me to get cramps on my legs and arm that it makes my fingers to twist. It also makes me feel very weak. What are the guidelines for triglycerides, Ldl and the HDL?
Dear Sir/ Madam Thanks for writing to us. I am afraid we don't provide prescription services. However if you develop side effects due to a medication you must consult your physician for a possible change of drug. All drugs are associated with some side effects in 2-3% of recipients. Guidelines for cholesterol management lay stress on life style modifications like avoiding fried foods, sweets, weight management, daily exercise and drug therapy for high risk individuals. You should consult your physician for high blood pressure. Sincerely Sukhvinder
