What Is The Meaning Of Lung Fibrosis And PTB Of Undetermined Activity?

im 38 years old last week i have annual examination and saw to my result is defined upper left lung fibrosis then the impression /conclusion i saw it consider PTB of undetermined activity what is the meaning of this i want to know about this. thank you

Thanks for writing in.

Any X ray showing fibrosis in the upper lobes is taken for granted to be due to PTB unless excluded clinically. It does not mean that you had or are having PTB. History of PTB in the past assumes significance. If you never had PTB earlier then please discuss with your doctor to confirm the exact cause of the lung findings on X ray. The findings can be due to infection, chronic medical conditions and exposure to certain air dusts.
