What Is The Meaning Of Homogenous Density And Fibrolinear Densities Shown In Chest X-Ray?

My friend had undergo medication for about 9 months.on her findings she has a PTB on her right upper lungs.on her rescent chest xray,the doctors findings,homogenous density and fibrolinear densities are seen in the right upper lung,the right costrophenic sulcus is shallow.is this mean that her lung gets worst?

Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your friend's situation.
His x ray report is suggestive of old, healed lesion.
He has taken 9 months of anti tb treatment.
So the lesions on x ray must be healed.
In lung tuberculosis, healing occured in the form of fibrosis and calcification.
So fibrolinear densities in his recent chest x ray are mostly due to healing of old tb lesions.
But better to get done sputum examination for AFB and bronchoscopy to rule out active tuberculosis. If both are negative for tuberculosis then no need to worry for worsening of tuberculosis.
Opacities are due to healed tb lesion.
