What Is The Long Time Side Effects Of Poppers And How To Quit?

hello i am not sure if you have heard of these before, but I am a chronic popper smoker. a popper consists of a cut off of a tobacco cigarette stuffed into a tube and stamped with marijuana and smoked through a bong. they are highly addictive and not to mention are worse than smoking a cigarette because it is pure, unfiltered tobacco that you are smoking. i get chronic bronchitis and colds and i cough all the time and have black phlegm. i was wondering if you knew the long term side effects to these poppers and how i should go about quitting? they are so addictive and almost impossible to quit

Hi,

Yes, you are right that poppers are much worse than cigarettes because of the higher content of nicotine and other toxins that reach the body as compared to cigarettes. The long term side effects are similar to those seen with cigarettes and marijuana joints like lung diseases, cancers, heart disease etc, but can be expected to develop sooner than with cigarettes because of the greater damage. Please try to quit. You can begin by reducing the amount of tobacco and marijuana in the popper and the number of poppers you take per day.

Best wishes.
