What Is The Life Expectancy When Suffering From Lung Cancer?
Family memeber diagnosed with lung cancer that spread to the brain, kidney, bones, spine and liver . Already started radiation on tumor in the brain. Doctors say that they will give her chemo in a IV once every three weeks but will not be able to get rid of the cancer but instead manage it. How long can she live with this type of diagnoses and form of chemo? Is there anything else we can do?

The patient is suffering from stage 4 lung cancer.
Aim of treatment during this stage is palliative chemotherapy with basic supportive care.
With palliative chemotherapy average survival time is from 6 to 9 months.
