What Is The Life Expectancy After Stents And Heart Attacks?
YES PLEASE, I have had two heart attacks in 6 months. the cholesterol blocker they gave me was not working for the first 6 mo. I m now on brillinta. I am a chef by trade and work 2 jobs. Iworry every day that Ican have another heart attack at any moment. I do not understand what my life expectancy may be after 3 stents. Iwas a smoker. and have recently picked back up the habit. although I have lost 36 lbs in a year. now I feel food is my enemy as well as bad habits ,but find now that I am struggling so hard with everything more.
Hi welcome to HCM Do not worry.stay relaxed.Taking precautions and regular follow up with your cardiologist will definitely keep you healthy.Try to quit smoking by distracting yourself somehow.Avoid eating fat foods.Take fruits like apple and pomogranate everyday.Take high protein low salt diet.Brisk walk for 20min regularly.Monitor your Bood pressure weekly once.Get lipid profile,ECG,2D ECHO ,complete blood picture for every 3-6monts.Never stop your medications as they will prevent re stenosis of your stents.Avoid axiety and stress.If you have symptoms like chest pain,dizziness,breathlessness do not delay report to your doctor immediately.Consult your cardiologist for expert management.
