What Is The Incubation Time For HIV?

Hi I had unprotected oral sex with a girl -status unknown, 7 weeks ago, 4 hours later I had oral thrush. since which I have had stress, anxiety, depression, itchy skin, increased frequency in urination etc. I had a gen 4 hiv test done at day 42- negative 0.34, and one at day 47 -negative 0.38. I spoke to the lab technician who informed me that they could detect hiv at 10 days accurately and that as I was now at 7 weeks if I had this my readings would not be 0. something but instead 25,30,35. My question is this based on what occured and the info received from the lab technician of a private hospital what is the likelyhood of me becomming positive in the next 6 weeks (3 month window). By the way when I saw the doctor I informed her that at the time of the incident I was taking antibiotics, I am a heavy smoker and yes I am stressed. Please help...............

Welcome to HCM,
Hello,After you've been infected, it can take 2 weeks to 6 months for your body to start making HIV antibodies. That i your blood report may come positive at any time from 2 weeks onward, you can do ELISA and Western blot test to confirm
Oral thrust may be due to other reasons also like the fungal infection of the mouth which is easily treatable, check for your increased urination if it is burning get a urine examination done. Your symptoms may be due to your anxiety ,so take the test and avoid sex with strangers ,always use condom
Thank you

Hello
You had gen4 HIV test 0.34 , later on after 5 days negative 0.38 . After 4 hours of ORAL SEX there was oral thrush , anxiety , stress, depression , itching skin , you were also taking antibiotics at the time of this episode .
I read your query and doubts , all .
I am writing this answer that you had ONLY ORAL SEX , so answer is based only on this and as far as my experience and studies reports:
Oral sex is a much less efficient mode of transmission of HIV infection.
Although HIV can be isolated typically in low titers from saliva of a small proportion of INFECTED individuals , there is NO CONVINCING EVIDENCE that saliva can transmit HIV infection , either through kissing ( even deep ) or oral sex exposures.
Saliva contains endogenous antiviral factors ;among these factors ,HIV-specific immunoglobulins of Ig A, Ig G and IgM isotypes are detected readily in salivary secretions of HIV infected individuals ( now NOTE down that even HIV infected can't transmit HIV infection by oral route , but in your case status of girl was no known) .
So you are HIV free .
Antibodies to HIV begin to appear within 2 weeks of infection and development of detectable antibodies is not more than 3 months ( so get in ELISA test for confirmation ).
White coating on the tongue may be due to fungus or candidiasis .
In my opinion consult a dermatologist and get his opinion.
I don't recommend you any test for HIV but since you are under so stress, so I advise, this .
Good luck.
