What Is The Harm In Being Pregnant After Chlamydia?

Hi there.. my partner and i are starting to try for a baby... and its only been a week but... in the past, i had chlamydia, as i caught in from my husband from when he was with a girl years ago, before we got together.. and we both didnt know we had it, for the past 6 years.... but we are clear now, and ive read how there can be problems with getting pregant after having chlamydia.. and my question is, is it very common for couples not to get pregnant after having chlamydia... and how can we help it any way we can to get pregnant?..... lisa

Dear Lisa, I want to assure you that with proper treatment , usually Chlamydia gets completely treated.
Usually this micro organism causes damage to fallopian tubes and poses problems to conceive.
I will suggest you to get Hysterosalpinggraphy or Sono salpingography test done, this helps to know if tubes are open and patent. If reports are ok , then there is no need to worry.
