I went to the pharmacy and bought ferrous sulfate 65mg..taking one pill per day. how serious is my anemia..?

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

This is a very mild degree of anmeia that could have easily be corrected by probably increased iron in diets if iron is for real needed. the truth is that more testing needs to be done to understand what the cause of this anemia is. Should it be iron deficiency, ten we generally recommend 20mg per day in 2-3divided doses for treatment. Talk to your doctor and make sure you are being treated for the right cause of tis anemia. Iron tablets are best taken with Vitamin C to increase guts absorption. Hope you consider this!
