What is the exact normal value of a NIF test?

I am a respiratory care student and I have great difficulty understanting what is the exact normal value of an NIF test. Everyone seems to know MIP or MEP but even in books the NIF chart rates for an average adult seem to be missing! Is this a new testing function and that is why there is so little on it or is it the same as MEP? Is it true in the hospital you extubate a patient with a MEP of -25???
