General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,
The calcium must be in the arteries of the limb. It is quite normal for a kidney disease patient to have calcium deposition in the arteries but it is usually not severe enough to cause block in the artery to lead to amputation. Unless there are other diseases like Hypertension and Diabetes. You will have to keep a close watch on his limb and I also suggest getting an Arterial Doppler of the other limb also so as to know if there are any blocks in that limb.
All the best.
