What Is The Dosage Of Thyronorm?

Hi my mom , my sisters and I all have been taking thyronorm and the docs have always adviced dosage of one tablet on empty stomach daily. Recently one of my friend's also was detected With Thyroid and was asked to take Thyronorm 50 mcg only from Monday to Friday. is this doseage correct? It's thyronorm supposed to be taken daily without any gaps? Please clarify.

Thyronorm can be taken daily.
Also, sometimes a weekend off is adviced to let the body adjust to the dosage.
Both are correct regimens and you should follow whatever your doctor has prescribed.
The dosage depends on the severity of the condition.
If the hypothyroidism is severe, then higher dosage is required.
For mild conditions, 25 or 50 mcg. Thyronorm might be started.
Get your TSH levels checked every 6 weeks.
The dosage should be accordingly adjusted.
Yes, it has to be taken daily on an empty stomach, because food interferes with absorption.
