What Is The Dosage Of Norflox TZ Recommended For Mucus And Blood In Stool?

Hello Doctor,I am suffering from mucus stool. It started from last night. There is little blood also with the stool. I have taken Norflox TZ in the morning. Please advise, if I should take any other medicine or the same medicine i.e. Norflox TZ. Shall I take thrice a day or 2 tablets a day and how many days should I continue?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Thank you for asking on HealthcareMagic.com, providing better healthcare for you. I have gone through your case and I can understand your concern. Based on your history, I think you were diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis, an inflammation of your stomach and intestines caused by bacterial infection as your doctor prescribed antibiotic. Norflox TZ (Norfloxacin) is usually prescribed 400 mg orally every 12 hours, so you should take it twice daily for 3 to 5 days. Oral rehydration is very important for you! Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions. Wishing you good health. Please don't forget to give your valuable feedback and five star rating, to help me assist you in a better way. Click at 'I Find This Answer Helpful too'.
