Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi. Im 49 and have a history of illness and allergy induced asthma in adulthood, and I ve been prescribed ProAir HFA 108 mcg to use during this nasty chest cold that started Christmas day. Instructions say to use every 4-6 hours as needed for cough. I also take Adair 100/50 2x day. Is there a max number of times per day that the albuterol should be used? my chest feels very tight, and I am needing to use it every four hours so far, and barely making it to that. I am also trying steam vapor (cold air makes my lungs worse). Any suggestions?thanks, Marie
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, breathing exercise would be nice for you along with the given medicines, try to keep your self away from the causative factors (Allergens) Albuterol can be used three times in day, this is maximum dose one can have, hope this information helps, take care, have a nice day.
