Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. Valdoxan is Agomelatine and the drug is a melatonergic antidepressant drug. Lexapro is Escitalopram and the drug is a SSRI drug. Both drugs have different mechanisms of actions and have different efficacy and side effects. Valdoxan is more useful in depression with poor sleep, negative symptoms while Escitalopram is one of commonly used anti-depressants. In various studies both drugs are found to have almost same efficacy in controlling depressive symptoms. You have been taking Valdoxan since last 2 weeks only and in my opinion wait for some more time as in most cases the drug usually takes about 4 weeks to show its effects.

Thanks, Hope this helps you. Take care
