What Is The Diagnosis Of Swelling In Neck Which Was Cured By Antihistamines And Steroids?

I have recently been in hospital because of a swelling in the left side of my neck. After scans, tests, x-rays, swallow test. blood tests, and time on anti- histamine, anto biotics and steroids I am better and no-one can give me a diagnosis. Any ideas?

Hi, swelling on the left side of neck can be because of many things depending upon the site. A swelling in the lower part of neck to the left of mid line in the thyroid region and which can respond to steroids and antibiotics can be a thyroid swelling because of thyroiditis. Regards
