What Is The Cure For The Excessive Sweating And Blood Spots On The Arm?

I had a fall in early November and landed with most my body weight on my right knee. My knee was swollen and a small hole formed over my knee cap with fluid and matter emitting from the wound. I also had a rash with bumps and red/purple spots on my right arm. Several weeks later I went to my dermatologist and he said I had cellulitis inside my knee and lanced my knee to ensure I did not also have a staff infection and see how deep a cavity I had in the knee. He gave me some ointment for my arm and antibiotics for the cellulitis which he said would also help clear up my arm. One of the side effects of the antibiotic was excessive sweating. My knee is better but my arm has blood spots under the skin about the size of a small mole to the size of my little fingernail both above and below my elbow . Although I have long since finished the antibiotic, I continue to sweat excessively and the blood spots remain.

I don't think your antibiotics caused excessive sweating..it could be familial or stress related. You can treat excessive sweating with botox injections or tap water iontophoresis.the blood spots would be a post inflammaory pigmentation which is insignificant and not serious.
