What Is The Cure For The Burnt Wound From Which Red Fluid Is Draining?
my friend has a large burn on the lower part of his leg. right on shin. it is four days old and was filled with fluid about 2 inches across. it is looking almost bluish and now red fluid coming out of it. it has ruptured yesterday. what should we be applying to it.
I can understand your concern for burnt wound from which red fluid is draining. It appears that the area got secondarily infected.
You should meet your treating doctor to get proper diagnosis. Do not try to even touch or pinch the area as can cause more aggravation of the problem and spread of the infection. This area is quite common to get infected very easily because of sweating and high bacterial proliferation.
I suggest you to take oral antibiotic such as ciprofloxacin or cefadroxyl 500 mg two times a day for 5 days to prevent secondary infection. For time being period you can apply antibiotic cream such as fucidin or mupirocin and take pain killer tablets such diclofenac or paracetamol.
Take care.
