What Is The Cure For Constipation Of A 8 Month Baby?

my baby was 8months old daughter has the same problem. Being a kid she is sruggling a lot. It becomes tight and she starts crying before motion. Some times only a small dot will come and after that she will try but can t.Please suggest how could we help my daughter for her motions.

Hello. Thank you for your question. This is a common problem in this age group. if there is stool in the rectum and your baby is struggling to push it out, you will need to use a pediatric suppository or pediatric enema to help it out. To prevent the problem from continuing to occur, you can add a tablespoon of prune juice 5-6 times per day. You can give it to her straight or add it to her bottles, (if you use bottles. You can then adjust the amount of prune juice, either increasing or decreasing, based on her response.
