Consult an ENT surgeon, many a times we try a procedure called as MILKING, to remove the tonsillolith, it it fails then definately we will go for tonsillectomy, after the acute attack subsides with antibiotic therapy.

Keep in touch.

Hi Sujeetha,

Milking of the tonsillolith is not the permanent solution. It re-accumulates after few days and symptoms will recur. If you feel it is causing you severe discomfort and is recurrent, you can opt for a permanent solution.

Hi,

Yes, there is a permanent solution for this, it is tonsillectomy. Drink plenty of warm water and do warm water gargles after food.
