What Is The Correct Level Of TSH For Ovulation?

At what level of TSH will ovulation occur? My tSH is currently 4.27 and I am not ovulating. I have started on Synthroid 0.05mg since last week. How long will it take to come down to a TSH level that will allow ovulation and conception? I am 38.5 years old with extremely low ovarian reserves. Thank you.

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for asking on HCM! I carefully read your concern and i am trying to give you the information you need.
The optimal level of TSH that is recommend to achieve in order to get pregnant is 2.5. One weak is not enough to get the efficacy of treatment. In general it takes 6 weeks to correct the TSH level.
Anyway in your case, when the ovarian reserves are low, we can not say for sure that the correction of the TSH will re-establish the ovulation, but for many reasons you should take the treatment correctly and try a pregnancy with a TSH level of 2.5.
Hope the suggestions will be helpful.
Kind regards,
