What Is The Correct Diet For A 10 Months Old Child?

Hi Doctor,
I have 10 months old baby, we have started giving rice with dal, carrot, some green leaves twice a days and formula food as breakfast and breast feeding. She's not interested to eat any fruits, we have tried egg-yellow but not eating. Can you please advise if this food is sufficient. I think we need to introduce other varieties in different tastes..
Thanks for your help in advance.

Thanks for your query
As from your question, I understand that your baby is taking your feeds. If you are able to feed your baby and he does not seem to be hungry for next 2.5-3 hours ,it can safely be presumed that you are having good amount of breast milk during lactation.
Please continue giving breast feeds as often as you can manage and supplement it, preferably with khichri (rice dal mashed veg)/, dalia/ suji /upma 2-3 times a day, The amount what he eats, is important to decide if this is sufficient for him.If after trying semisolid food you feel , he is still hungry in that case, give your feeds as often as he demands.
.Meanwhile keep trying fruits in mashed form (Banana/cheeku/mango puree) every day till he develops a liking for it,as majority of the young babies take some time to get used to a new food item.
There is no urgency to rush for large variety of foods at such a young age and please do not get worried unnecessarily,
Hopefuly your baby will settle gradually with your patience and efforts

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
What you are giving is quite OK.
The food you are giving is sufficient.
You offer one food continuously for 3-4 days and then introduce a new item.
All foods you can offer except spices, sour foods and hot (chillies) foods.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
