What Is The Clot Like Substance In The PICC Line ?

Hi. I have a PICC line and have been using the SASH procedure. Upon preparing to flush the line, I noticed a 1/8 inch, red substance in the line. This appears to be blood. Is it okay to continue and flush the line, or should I wait until tomorrow and see my doctor? I am concerned about this being a clot.
