What Is The Cause Of Thinned And Slow Urine Stream? Had Renal Transplant One Year Ago.
Hi, my father in law had a renal transplant one year ago. Six months back there was a significant thinning and slowdown in his urine stream. The doctors did a procedure which made his urine flow normal again. Within one month, his urine stream started to thin and slow down again. What is the cause of this? Is there a long-term solution for this? Thank you.

There can be multiple causes for this problem and common ones are prostate enlargement or urethral stricture. If it is a urethral stricture and keeps coming back then he needs permanent corrective surgery. If it is prostate enlargement then it can be treated by tablets or by surgery. Please see an urologist.
