What Is The Cause Of Swelling In The Legs?

Dear Doctor,

My mother is 86 years old. She gets pain in her neck on and off. We consulted a leading Ortho Suregeon in Chennai, who prescribed her Omez (Omiprazole) and Utracet (Acetaminaphen & Tramadol Hydrochloride) Tablets and su ggested us to see him again after 2 weeks..

She has been taking these tablets daily, in addition to Atenolol - 25mg which she has been regularly taking from a long time for her blood pressure problem.

Now since last 2 days, she is having swelling in her legs. She says that she is not getting her urine also satisfactorily. I do not know whether it is due the adverse side effect of Omeprazole & Ultracet.

I request you for your expert advice.

Thanking you, in anticipation, for your kind reply, I remain,

Sincerely Yours,

ARM Hussain
