What Is The Cause Of Sore Throat And Ear Pain?
Hello I've had a sore throat since Thursday, I flew back from Tunisia last nite and both of my ears poped! I woke up this morning and they have unpoped but when I swollow my ear aches on the right side and when I swollow my throat hurts , and I have abit if an upset tummy

Thanks for your query . The sore throat and ear pain you mention in your query is due to infection travel from throat ( because upper respiratory track infection) to ear through Eustachian tube (connect throat to middle ear and maintain the pressure of middle ear) ,sinusitis or post nasal drip .I would suggest you to to consult ENT specialist (ear ,nose ,throat) for proper examination without any delay and to prevent the further spread of infection . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics course at least for 5 days or mucolytic agent like ambroxol. For now do warm saline rinses several times a day ,give dry warm compresses to external ear because sometimes sound occur due to water drop in ear .
