What Is The Cause Of Muscular Pain And Excessive Sweating?

Healthy 15 year old football player at football practice experienced excessive sweating, but continued to hydrate at scheduled water breaks during practice. Left practice that night feeling overly exhausted.. He went to work out the following morning and began to feel dizzy and uncoordinated durning the workout. A couple hours after the workout while in class, he felt sick and went to the nurse s office. He was then sent to the hospital where they gave him saline for dehydration. He was subsequently admitted to the hospital the very next day and has been there for 5 days. Testing shows no brain tumor, no MS, no cancer. His left side is weak and he has muscle fatigue in his left eye, also still very lethargic. What else could this be?

Sounds like a simple case of Hyponatremia.
That is when the Sodium levels deplete.Reasons could be a lot of water loss from the body.
The symptoms are weakness, muscle fatigue and dizziness.
The correction is simple by rehydrating with Normal Saline depending upon the current Serum Sodium levels.
Please note: NEVER SHOULD SODIUM BE CORRECTED FAST OR MAY PROVE FATAL. That might be the reason he has been in the hospital for 5 days now.
Good luck.
