What Is The Cause Of Involuntary Twitching Of Eyelid?

The rightside of my right eyelid has been twitching continuously ...so severely that i am able to feel it while talking, working at home/office...... Even during sleep, if i wake up, suddenly i can feel the eyelid twitching. What could be the possible cause? is it cause for concern?

Hello,
Eye lid twitching is basically because of irritation of the facial nerve which is the motor supply for the eye lids.
This requires evaluation to rule out the problems of the facial nerve.
This requires further evaluation by a physician to rule out problems of the facial nerve.
Thank you
