Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can people with Ankylosing Spondylitis have problems in their throat with swallowing or can it cause random gagging (no food eaten) and lead to vomitting?
My husband has been gagging and vomiting for three days and since yesterday noonish has vomited almost every half hour just drinking/sipping water.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, Ankylosing spondylitis can not cause the swallowing difficulty and other GI symptoms if this is the symptoms with the patient having Ankylosing Spondylitis then it may not be due to this but it could be due to something else and most the time it could be esophagitis and it might be due to hyperacidity I would suggest to try Tab Omeprazole 40 mg Domperidone 20 mg once in day for three weeks or more hope this information helps.
