My son who will be 11 in March, was involved in a car accident at age 3, suffering some seizures from a closed head injury. He suffered some language delay early on, but is now an outstanding student in a gifted program. Recently, i.e., the last two months, he has been complaining of frequent migraines, lightheadedness, sensitivity to light and overall fatigue.
The only change in his circumstances is that his mother and I are involved in custody litigation with each other, and over the holidays, my son told me his mother said she and I were "fighting over his custody" on several occasions. He has been to a pediatric neurologist and had an MRI two days ago (no results yet). His last MRI was three years ago and showed no lesions. Could this likely be tension headaches? Assuming no abnormal MRI. If so, what is the best approach. At my suggestion, his mom has taken him to a psychologist this past week, who did tell me that she had given him relaxation exercises.
