What Is The Cause Of Frequent Hyperventilation Attacks?

Hi, I have been a little concerned with myself lately...
I am 14 years old, so it may be hormones but I am not so sure.
What has been happening lately, is frequent hyperventilation attacks when i go into my room, followed by flashbacks of bad events or conversations that have been from as many as 11 years ago to just a few minutes. I am agitated a lot and I just want to scream, but all that comes out is a painful, silent shriek. I always made up conversations with movie or book characters, but that is very normal to me to pass the time. Now, however, they keep talking back to me and I just tell them to shut up... over and over again, but their mocking echoes in my head.
Could you please tell me what is wrong?
Thank you.
