What Is The Cause Of Delay In Period After Taking Althea Pills?
Hi doctor!
I have been taking Althea pills for 1year and 3 months already. Last February 15 (saturday) , its my first day to take a new pack. My boyfriend and i had sexual intercourse that day. Then i lost my pack. I was able to get a new pack on feb 17 (monday). I took 2 pills frim the new pack. I know it was past the 12 hour period, but i still took 2 pills (for sunday and monday). Then continued the pack until the last pill. But i intentionally did not take the last pill (saturday) because i counted the new pack as my original pack. Im supposed to end on a friday (march 7). So thats what i did. I treated my new pack as my old pack's schedule. We had an intercourse on march 9 (saturday).
Im supposed to have my period on march 11 (yesterday). Until now i dont have my period. Can it be that i am pregnant?

There are less chances of being pregnant if you haven't missed any pill other than what you mentioned. still do a pregnancy test and if negative wait for your period. Visit your gynecologist if you don't get your period in the following week or if pregnancy test is positive.
