What Is The Cause Of Blurred Vision?

Hi, Im a 21 year old female and I m very concerned about a painful bump that i noticed on the left side of my head above my ear kind of close to my temple. It is not an exterior bump. I felt it by running my hand across the side of my head and it was very painful. Its also causing pain throughout the left side of my head/brain. Im concerned also because lately i have been having spurts where my vision is messed up and it goes out/gets blurry and i see rainbow colors. When speaking to optomotry they wanted me to come in but they said it could be due to migraines or something with my head. I m worried because although i look to be in great shape, i do party and drink on weekends and don t take great care of my health. Any idea what this lump could be?
