What Is The Cause Of A Lump On The Forehead?

Hi, a lump has just appeared on the top left side of my forehead and is approx 1.5 inches in size, skin colour (not red) and not itchy or tender, quite firm. I wasn't bitten and it is a big lump, sticking out like I hit my head really hard (which I didn't). My left side of my face feels slightly tingly around my eyes and cheek (like hay fever sensation). Do you think it is a cyst? Thank you.

Hello!

Welcome on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms seem to be related to to a sinus infection or a cyst.

I recommend consulting with your attending doctor for a physical check up and some tests:

- a sinus X ray study
- PCR, sedimentation rate for inflammation
- complete blood count for infection.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Kind regards, Dr. Aida
