Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my husband feels tired after urinating. could it be from not eating well or at all. his pain medicine gives him a lot of energy and his excuse is i m not hungry, and i have plenty of energy. or is it something else. he just had a compleat blood work up that showed that everything was ok . or in normal range.
Is your husband on any medication for prostrate complaints? Certain medications can cause side effects like dizziness/fatigue while standing up, due to hypotension. Inadequate diet and fluids could be another cause of tiredness. I would advise you to take your husband to a doctor for a physical examination and rule out postural hypotension.
In the meantime, let him pass urine in the sitting position, and not in the standing position.
Hope this helps .
Regards, Dr. Divya Kuttikrishnan
