What Is The Cause For The Lump On My Inner Thigh After A Knee Injury?

I noticed a lump on my left inner thigh, about 5cm from the groin. The lump is not sore, it is not noticeable, you can only feel it, it is smooth, I would say its hard and it is about 2cm in size. I have experienced a bit of niggling in that area since I injured my knee water skiing 5 weeks ago, but have been going to the physio and it has been recovering nicely. Is there any chance that this lump has anything to do with the knee injury? What is it likely to be? I am worried that it is cancerous as I had breast cancer in 2012, the breast cancer was hormone receptor positive and I have had my ovaries removed. What are your thoughts, I live several hours from a hospital where I can have an ultrasound, biopsy, however I am going to see a GP this afternoon. But I am feeling very anxious and need any answers.

Hi,

I have read your query.

You must get physical examination by doctor. He may advise in addtion you the ultrasound, CT scan or MRI scan. After tally the investigatory and physical finding report, only then your diagnosis can be made, nothing can be said without these reports or without physical examination.

I hope you have got your answer.

Thanks.

Dr.Singh.
