What Is The Cause For The Bumps That Surround The Elbows And Bleeds When Pinched?
There are several dry bumps that surround my elbows. Sometimes I forget they are there (they don t hurt, itch, or have any color) and subconsciously pick at them, which just results in a tiny bit of blood. I know that I shouldn t pick at them and I rarely ever do. Any idea what they might be or what causes them? There are two on my left arm and five on my right; the ones on my right arm are bigger and they appear on the bottom of my arm.
Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic. It could be keratosis pilaris ( keratin plug around hair follicle). Without an opportunity to examine the lesion, I would not be able to accurately specify the condition. You might need to consider a consultation with dermatologist for diagnosis. The alternate option is to ask me a direct query by clicking on this short url http://bit.ly/dr-j-chacko , where you have an option of uploading a picture of the lesion which will help a great deal in diagnosing the condition. Hope this helped, Take care.
