What Is The Cause For Mild Pain In The Upper Side Of Abdomen?
my problem is that occasionally my sgpt level increases and i develop mild stomach pain, indigestion, loss of appetite, and weakness. it has happened 2-3 times in past 3 years. after treatment all other symptoms disapear but mild pain in upper right side of abdomen persists.i want to know your comments
Hi! Good evening. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.
Recurrent elevations of SGPT with pain abdomen calls for a detailed investigation of your liver along with a detailed general examination to exclude any source of an infective focus. If I were your doctor, I would go for all the hepatitis marker tests for Hep A, B, and C along with an ultrasound of the abdomen and a CT scan if need be. Further management would depend on the result of general examination and all the investigations. On the diet front, you should avoid eating from outside, especially the fried and oily fast food and go for bland diet containing more of carbohydrates.
I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts. Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. Wishing you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
