What is the cause for me to hate music and song ?

Hi Doctor , I am 18 years male. I feel discomfort by music and song. If any family member put on music, I cannot bear it and use to stop it immediately. Is I am sick? Any physical exercise there to help me?

Thanks for writing to us.
Not being able to bear a music or loud noises are a kind of phobia. There are many types of phobias depending on a person's mental status. psychotherapy is usually the best treatment. You need an evaluation by a psychiatrist for your problem.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.

You have not expalined the nature of discomfort you expeerience and is it generalized to all situations (is it that it happens only at home or even ouside home) and whether it happen all the time. its also necessary to know wheteher theis problem is being experienced in the recent past, Your own current state of mind and the stress level also needs to be understood. Whaever may be the case take the help of the psychologist, discuss your problem in deatsil, take a psychometric test and approriate psychological interventions.
