What Is The Cause For Increased Heart Rate On Light Exertion? Have ASD 1cm, Negative Echo Test

my heart beats very fast after climbing stairs..i measured it goes up o 120..i feelthe hear racing...I have an ASD (1cm).but i got an echo done only 4 mths back an it was normal..My cardiologist then told me that I dont need to repeat the echo before one year.And now i am havingthis high heart rate even with lil' bit of exertion..Also I am a hypothyroid still struggling to find the right dose..
