What Is The Cause For Heavy Brownish Discharge After Clear Discharge When Pregnant?

I am 37 and 6 days pregnant. I had my son at 33 weeks. Since just before 32 weeks have been having bad low back pain and cramping. I was 2 centimeters and 40% efaced for 2 and a half weeks. Yesterday i was 3 centimeters and 75 % efaced. I have been having tons of contractions for 10 days now that are close together but different pain levels. I can't sleep, been feeling sick to my stomach. I have been having tons of clear discharge for a few weeks now but last night it started have brownish discharge. Every time i wipe now i get tons of brownish discharge, more discharge then usual. Since the brownish discharge started last night my back pain is much worse where it hurts to walk. I also have been having lots of painful pelvic pressure. baby dropped 10 days ago when contractions started. What does all this mean? Does it mean labor is coming very very soon?

Hi,
Your symptoms could mean that you have set into early labor. Please get in contact with your health care provider immediately for an assessment of your condition and further management necessary. Meanwhile take rest in left lateral position, observe fetal movements, intake adequate liquids and avoid heavy food. Watch for drainage of liquor and if your pain relates only to the back and does not radiate to the thighs, you may need assistance soon. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you safe motherhood.
