Hi,
I can totally understand your concern and worries reagarding your little one catching scabies.
Scabies is actually a infestation caused by a mite. The mite resides on our skin especially aroung finger webs, genitals and axillary region. It becomes active at night and therefore itching is more severe in night. unfortunately, the mites can be transferred to close contacts and so your baby might be having scabies.
Your third doctor gave a correct advice to wash all your clothes because that kills the mites that have entered the clothing. All the bed linen and towels should also be washed.
It is usually advisable to treat the whole family together because of easy transmission of the mite in between close contacts. Even if they are not itching, family members may still have scabies because sometimes it takes around a month for itching to appear.
