What Is The Cause And Treatment For Depression?

I am experiencing signs of mental illness, starting with depression and now I'm realizing it's effecting my work performance and with everyday life decisions. I do have mental health issues in my family and therefore it's genetic I am bound to get it too. I am wanting a medical lay off, considering I work far up north in the middle of no where for weeks on end. Therefore, I am not able to follow up with a doctor on a regular basis to get better, and to go through the process of trying different medication that suits me the best. Problem is, I am not sure if my doctor will give me the documentation saying I am unfit for work considering I have not seen a doctor until now. What steps do I need to make in order to get a lay off ?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for using healthcare magic

In your case, you should consult a psychiatrist. Do not worry, psychiatrist would help it to keep diagnosis confidential. According to law, no one can be out of job due to mental illness, so just stay calm and get yourself properly treated. In case, you need further help, you can ask.

Thanks
