Hello,
If you do not wish to use hormonal contraception, you can combine two barrier methods or practice the safe period. You can use female condoms, caps and diaphragms, spermicidal vaginal tablets or have intercourse only during the anovulatory or safe period, in addition to using the male condom. This enhances the safety and helps prevent conception to a major extent. You can also ask your consultant for the possibility of IUD insertion if you wish to have protection for longer period. Hope this helps.
