Hi and thank you for being part of our virtual clinic!

I understand your situation well!

1. Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is characterized by unreasonable thoughts and fears (obsessions) that lead you to do repetitive behaviors (compulsions)

2.There are no medical diagnostic tests for OCD, when obsessive/compulsive behaviours start to harm a person’s life its’ considered to be obsessive-compulsive disorder

3. With OCD, you may or may not realize that your obsessions aren't reasonable, and you may try to ignore them or stop them. But that only increases your distress and anxiety.

4. Clomipramine (Anafranil) is used too to treat obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). It helps decrease persistent/unwanted thoughts (obsessions), and it helps reduce the urge to perform repeated tasks (compulsions such as hand-washing, counting, checking) that interfere with daily living.

This medication belongs to a class of medications called tricyclic antidepressants. It works by restoring the balance of certain natural substances (serotonin, among others) in the brain

5. There are other natural remedies like tryptophan, vitamine B6, vitamine B complex, Inositol ect, but to change medication or use others, it is necessary to be visited by your doctor!

Hope to have helped. For further info write us back.
Thank you and take care!
