Hi,

Thanks for posting in HCM.

FAS - 3 has a combination of 3 drugs - antibiotic (azhithromycin), antifungal (fluconazole) and anti-parasitic (secnidazole). Hence it is used to treat mixed infections of genito-urinary tract, particulary when fungal infection (candidiasis) appears to dominate.

It may not be suitable for you to take the same medication what your husband is taking for your condition. Since you are already on metrogyl medication for urinary tract infection, it is better you finish the course as prescribed.

Even after that if your symptoms persist, then you have to get your urine culture and sensitivity done. Based on the sensitivity , you have to take a course of appropriate antibiotics.

Hope the information provided is useful. All the best.
