What Is The Alternative For Miralax And Citracell In Colon Patient?

I recently had a colonoscopy then a capsule to take pictures. The doctor got my lab results from a check up which indicated anemia, from blood loss of unknown source and my doctor sent me to a G.I. My regular G.I. doctor retired and I was given someone unknown to me. I have had colonoscopy since the 1970 s with no problems and now I am so swollen in stomach and so constipated and so uncomfortable. I went to another because the first one said he didn t move my colon and felt he was being dishonest with me. I can tell the difference and something is very different. The next G.I. said colon was ok, I had an extra long treacherous colon all wound up but it was fine. Told me to do Miralax twice and Citracell twice daily along with 6 - 8 glasses of water. I has been about two weeks and it is not working. Very constipated still. YYYY@YYYY

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, the prime of chief complaint is not given here, for the anemia you can have the iron supplement and in case of absence of colon symptoms no need to worry about this, in my opinion no need to take any medicine for constipation but you can try fiber containing diet and plenty of water, along with this stool softener can be tried like Isabgol powder, milk of magnesia can also be tried hope this information helps.
