What Is The Alternative For Insulin?

HI I am Stephen Iam a known diabetic for 25 years .Suddenly My blood Sugar has gone upto 467 mg fasting I go for walking in the morning for an hour around 8 kms. Iam taking Glynase 1 hr befor meals and an Iscept forte after meals My Doc advices me to take insulin . But I cant do it right now What is the alternative for Insulin

I would like to know what type of diabetes you have?
If you are a type 2 diabetic, you may continue with oral antidiabetics after your sugar level is stabilized. You can take a combination of antidiabetic drugs to maintain the blood sugar under control, always with the doctor consultation. Insulin may be used for a short time until your sugar levels get low.

If you are a type 1 diabetic, your organism is lack of insulin (it is not produced by the body), so unfortunately Insulin is the only choice.
You have to do a complete count of analysis, and consult your endocrinologist to decide the way of treatment.
