What is next after 5-day albothyl treatment due to ASCUS? When is sex okay? I am 45 years old, 4 8 or 4 9 in height weighing less than 90lbs. I used to have normal result of pap smear for the last 8 years until my last pap smear in August 2011 which resulted to ASCUS. I was advised by my ob-gyne to take albothyl for 5 days and repeat pap smear in November 2011.

After taking treatment with albothyl for five days, it is advisable to repeat the Pap test again.
In case infection was the cause of changes on the Pap test then they should disappear after treatment.
In case the changes are not due to infection or persist even after treatment then a cervical biopsy may be required.
You can go ahead and take up a Pap test again.
